Who are the Monsters?
A group of mates who love cricket and turned a casual nets session into a competitive club.
Our Story
Started in 1999. Built for the long game.
The Monsters Cricket Club began the way most great things do — with no real plan. Eight friends booked a lane at a local indoor nets facility and, two hours later, decided they should probably form a proper team.
From that first season in 2020, we've grown into a full club with two squads, a coaching setup, and an end-of-year dinner that has somehow become the most anticipated event on the calendar.
We aren't backed by a council grant or a big sponsor. We're self-funded, self-run, and every decision is made by the players themselves. That's the way we like it.

Club Timeline
- 2019
Club founded with 8 members at a local nets session.
- 2020
Entered first competitive season. Won 4 from 8 in the local league.
- 2021
Season two — squad grew to 16. First trophy: Summer Cup runners-up.
- 2022
Registered as an incorporated club. Launched official team kit.
- 2023
Back-to-back Summer Cup wins. 30+ members across two squads.
- 2024
Reached first Grand Final. Season average of 148 runs exceeded 150 for the first time.
- 2025
Best season to date: 10 wins, 2 losses. Semi-final exit in the playoffs.
- 2026
Now. New season, new targets. The Monsters are hungry.
